Eddy Laguerre is an attorney licensed to practice both in Florida and in Haiti (Port-au-Prince Bar). Born and raised in Haiti, he holds a Bachelor in (Haitian) Law, a Master degree in American Law and a Juris Doctorate degree.

Mr. Laguerre had a substantive professional career in Haiti before moving to the U.S. He worked successively as a journalist and political commentator, news director, Justice editor for Journal Le Matin and Le National, cabinet member and deputy Director of Communication for the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety. He was nominated as a member of Haiti's National Committee for Human Rights which represented Haiti during the bilateral dialogue with the Dominican Republic regarding the nationality of Dominicans of Haitian descent.

Mr. Laguerre attended Florida State University College of Law and is member of the Florida Bar. He is fluent in French, Creole, and English.
